Prospective buyers of the Joliet Slammers outlined their vision for the organization at last week’s City Council meeting, and a promotion of special events is at the heart of that plan. The pitch was necessary because the purchase of the team is contingent on the city reaching a lease agreement on Silver Cross Field with any prospective buyer. City Manager Tom Thanas said that that the city has reached an agreement with the buyers,
