oliet Park district officials say the people have spoken on what they want to see done with their neighborhood parks, and they are listening. but to do anything about it, they’ll need the public’s help. Joliet Park officials are hoping district residents approve a $19.5 million bond issue on Nov. 4. that would allow the district to upgrade playground equipment at 23 parks on both sides of town, replace 100 trees felled by the emerald ash borer, and provide new, indoor facilities at Nowell Park and at the inwood complex on west Jefferson street.
