Village approves tech purchases New licenses for software will cost almost $13K BY MARNEY SIMON Enterprise Staff @plainfieldnews sweditor@enterprisepublications.com
Members of the village board signed off last month on some housekeeping efforts to update and modernize technology systems. On July 17, members of the board approved the purchase of Microsoft Windows and SQL server licenses. The move will allow the village to update systems in their virtual environment, primarily those that support the New World ERP platform. The village’s server infrastructure is currently running on Microsoft Windows 2008, and are nearing the end of life for software support. The new system will include Microsoft Windows 2016 standard server license. SEE TECH PAGE 3
