Officials in Plainfield began discussions this month on future growth and development in the village. But while talks for how to study Plainfield’s future provided a jumping off point, trustees weren’t sold on the need. The village is currently working to implement the 2016-2021 Strategic Plan, looking at potential residential and commercial growth in order to shape policy making during the Strategic Plan’s five-year period. On Aug. 8, the village took a closer look at two proposals from S.B Friedman & Company of Chicago.
