Surplus property up for grabs Village to put old equipment out for the public BY MARNEY SIMON Enterprise Staff @plainfieldnews sweditor@enterprisepublications.com
It won’t be left on the curb or tossed in the dumpster. But dozens of pieces of office and electronic equipment will be up for grabs, now that they are no longer needed by the village of Plainfield. Last month, members of the village board signed off on an authorization to dispose of a variety of surplus property that has been collected in the basement of the village hall. Among the items are office equipment that has been heavily used over the years, and is no longer in good condition. Equipment used by the Plainfield Television Group is also included in the surplus property. SEE SURPLUS PAGE 5
