Neighbors who live near the newly established Farmhouse at Plainfield-Naperville Road and 127th will have to wait a little longer before they get answers from the village on proposed improvements at the site. Earlier this month, the Plan Commission took a look at the case for the Farmhouse, opting to continue the public hearing until the owners of the site can get all their paperwork in order. The owners of the Farmhouse have been before the plan commission twice already, looking to add a special events venue to their site, which already houses a reclaimed wood business. Testing the waters, the site hosted a handful of special markets since it opened last year. The owners now hope to add a permenant venue site to host wedding receptions, private parties, and other gatherings. But, some neighbors have been opposed to the plans. In February, residents of nearby Farmstone Ridge spoke to members of the commission, expressing worries that an event venue at the site could trigger SEE FARMHOUSE PAGE 5
