Nicor pipeline replacement nears end

The riverfront park in Plainfield continues to be closed to vehicular traffic, as the long standing Nicor project continues throughout the village. But, the end appears to be in site for the project that started back in February though six miles of land in Plainfield. “We have been informed that the installation of the new pipeline has been completed. However, the restoration of several locations needs to be completed,” explained Allen Persons, Director of Public Works for Plainfield. “Specifically, the paving of Countryman Drive (near the riverfront) site grading at several locations to improve
