The hearings took place during the Nov. 7 regular meeting of the Board of Trustees. Up first – a motion to vacate Massey Avenue, a throughway that sits unmarked north of Robert Avenue near the Plainfield Township Cemetery along Route 59. “It would provide additional street connectivity to the area that is now occupied or will become part of the Plainfield Township cemetery,” said Director of Planning Jonathan Proulx, noting that the need no longer exists for a public street connection into the cemetery. “Staff believes that the… findings of fact of support the vacation have been satisfied,” Proulx said.
