At Plainfield East High School, the school has both a 96 percent graduation rate and a 96 percent freshman on track rate. The school scores show that 51 percent of students are ready for college.
Road work is underway along 135th/ Pilcher Road, gutting the roadway and evening out the “calming measures” already installed on the road, along the Lakelands subdivision. Fall road projects began this month to fix the straight away between PlainfieldNaperville Road and Essington Road. The total work involved includes installation of additional drainage structures and curb and gutter, street resurfacing, and rebuilding those calming measures. The speed humps will be reinstalled, but will be more uniform in height and spacing, to allow traffic flow to remain consistent. According to the village, curb and gutter work will impact driveway access, and residents will be required to park on the street for at least a few days, while the concrete is curing. Mail delivery and garbage pick-up should not be affected. SEE ROADWORK PAGE 2
