It’s been almost two months since trucks parked in a vacant lot along Route 30 caused a commotion for residents in Plainfield. But, plans to finalize development of that lot through the village’s permitting process have stalled for now. On Oct. 15, Trustee Edward O’Rourke asked village planners for an update on the proposal. The issue came to a head over the summer, when neighbors on Harvest Glen came to board to voice their opposition to the proposed lot. The proposal called for 160 truck parking stalls in a vacant industrial behind the Plainfield Small Business Park along Route 30 near 135th.
