Village takes closer look at spending Village will utilize $1 million in proposed revenues for roadway improvements in FY18 BY MARNEY SIMON Enterprise Staff @plainfieldnews sweditor@enterprisepublications.com
Village officials have taken a closer look at expenditures for the upcoming year, hammering out where and how they’ll spend cash out of miscellaneous funds when the 2017-2018 fiscal year (FY18) begins on May 1. On Jan. 9, the board took a closer look at projected revenues and expenditures in the village’s motor fuel tax (MFT) fund, tax increment financing (TIF) funds, and police pension funds, among others. The village will utilize $1 million in proposed revenues from the MFT to cover half its $2 million budget for roadway improvements in FY18. SEE PLANS PAGE 4
