lainfield commuters could soon have an easier way to get to route 126 from lockport street, following the village board adoption of the lockport street bypass feasibility study at its July 6 meeting. the village said proposed interstate 55 and lockport/ airport road interchanges would improve access to the expressway, but could also increase the number of vehicles that would use lockport street. the interchange project is still in planning, but a bypass could improve those chances by removing traffic from lockport street. the lockport street bypass would allow cars to get directly to route
