JJC discusses Romeoville expansion

More than 100 participants came out to celebrate Bolingbrook’s 49th annual Pathway’s Parade on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, Sept. 14. From local politicians and school marching bands to dance groups and churches, all of Bolingbrook was represented at the community event that drew friends and families to line the streets from Bolingbrook High School to the Town Center.

Joliet Junior College plans to expand its Romeoville campus By Laura Katauskas staff reporter

Joliet Junior College officials continue to discuss its expansion of the Romeoville campus seeking community input. After considering the growth in the area with projections nearly doubling their growth in the Romeoville area, Joliet Junior College plans to expand its Romeoville campus, one of two of its priority projects, including the construction of a multipurpose facility on its main campus in Joliet. The Joliet Junior College Board of Trustees will be using $45 million in bonds to fund both priority projects. Further breakdown as to how much is earmarked for the Romeoville campus has yet to be determined. The college held two community meetings, the most recent, in Romeoville to further outline their initial efforts and hear from the community. >> see jjc | page 4
