2024 Plainfield Festival is coming up soon The Plainfield Police Department would like to remind all residents and visitors to the Village of Plainfield that this year’s Plainfield Fest will be taking place on Friday, June 28 through Sunday, June 30th. This year, the festival will be in the following locations: • The entertainment area, which will include live music, will be in the Plainfield Township Community Center and Village of Plainfield municipal parking lot, located at 15014 South Des Plaines Street. • The food vendor area will be in the municipal parking lot, located at the southwest corner of Lockport Street and Des Plaines Street. • The craft vendors and petting zoo will be in the Village Green. • The carnival area will be in the parking lot of Plainfield Central High School, located at 24120 West Fort Beggs Drive. During the festival, the following roadways will be closed at the listed times: • Des Plaines Street: Closed from Chicago Street to Main
Street (local traffic only from Main Street to Oak Street) • Friday, June 28 at 12:00 pm through Sunday, June 30 at 7:00pm • Chicago Street: Closed from Des Plaines Street to Fox River Street •Friday, June 28th at 12:00 pm through Sunday, June 30 at 7:00pm Handicapped parking for the entertainment area of the festival will be located along the west side of Des Plaines Street, north of Oak Street, and the north side of Oak Street between Des Plaines Street and Illinois Street. Handicapped parking for the carnival area of the festival will be in the parking lot of the high school near the entrance to the carnival. Festival patrons using Ride Share options are encouraged to use Illinois Street at Oak Street, to avoid congestion directly in front of the gate entrance. Additional parking is available at Riverfront Park, Plainfield Village Hall, and at the high school. For a schedule of events and the hours of operation for each
