katauskas@buglenewspapers.com @lkatauskas A 22-year-old Bolingbrook man was arrested and charged with DUI in a fatal crash that killed one and injured another May 17. Luis Jimenez, 508 Racine Lane, allegedly left his friend’s house in Wheaton to go for a joy ride at about 2 a.m. when he was speeding and lost control of his car at Sheffield Street and crashed into a tree. The front passenger died on the scene as a result of the impact and the rear seat passenger was severely injured. Jimenez and the surviving passenger were transported to a local hospital and treated for their injuries. Jimenez was released from the hospital, taken into custody and charged with one count of aggravated DUI involving death, a Class 2 felony punishable by up to 14 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
