BY LAURA KATAUSKAS | Staff rePorter ot looking for attention or a pat on the back, Sid Cudebec merely wants to make someone’s day a little brighter. With more than 4,000 service hours at Adventist bolingbrook hospital, Cudebec was bound to make someone smile. in fact, his selflessness is one of the reason’s Abh recently awarded Cudebec with its Service excellence Award. “Sid goes above and beyond to make things rights and has made a huge impact in our volunteer program here and he is considered part of the hospital team,” said danielle muhlenbeck, program manager for service excellence and volunteer services. but Cudebec shrugs off the compliments, and explains he just wants to do something positive with his time and give back to bolingbrook and the community he has lived in since 1974. “i love dealing with people, and if i can help in some small way, why not,” he said. he has been volunteering at the hospital since it opened in 2008 and before then at the tall Grass Corporate Center.
