Chef introduces new cuisine to Bolingbrook High School students; Valley View plans more diverse menu

he days of referring to school cafeteria food as the dreaded mystery meat are behind us. Today’s students can opt for the regular pizza and chicken nuggets but can give hummus and a tangerine chicken rice bowl a try too. Just this past month, to emphasize the nutritional value of fish, Valley View school District 365u helped High Liner Foods kick off its TGIFF (Thanks Goodness it’s Fish Friday) promotion Feb. 23 by hosting Chef Marco suarez (who has appeared on the tV show “Chopped”) in the Bolingbrook high school cafeteria. see the FuLL story on page 5
