Three people were killed and two others sustained serious injuries in a head-on collision on the Mdantsane Access Road in East London on Sunday night The Eastern Cape Transport Department says a Mercedes Benz with two men from East London collided with a Nissan Livina with two women and a man from Mdantsane A spokeswoman, Unathi
Binqose, says the Mercedes caughtalight after the impact, but both occupants managed to make it out alive He says all three occupants of the Nissan were declared dead at the scene Binqose says driving under the influence of alcohol has been cited as a possiblecontributingfactorto the accident The police are investigating a case of culpablehomicide.

In the juniors, Sutton and Fuller tied 1-1, with the game settled on penalties in Fuller’s favour Diocesan beat Langham 2-0 Fullersavedtheirbestforlast, taking the final 2-0 and securing their place as junior champions In the seniors, the first round was a closely fought affair, with Sutton eventually going down 3-0 to Fuller Langham and Diocesan weretied1-1atfulltime,with Langham taking the honours on penalties After a tense final, Langham and Fuller were tied at 0-0, forcing a penalty shoot-out, which gave Fullerthegame.
