Selected by MICHELIN Inspectors, the new award spotlights hotels that set a global benchmark for wellness, offering transformative experiences where wellbeing is seamlessly integrated into every aspect of the guest journey.
Obbürgen, 9 October 2025 - Perched 500 metres above Lake Lucerne with panoramic Alpine views, Bürgenstock Resort is home to award-winning Alpine Spa, a 10,000 sqm haven for restorative wellness.
Encased in glass and overlooking the lake, it features multiple pools, 13 treatment rooms, three private spa suites, hot and cold Kneipp baths, a herbal steam room, a Finnish sauna, an Alpine Steam bath, an ice room, a cold Bio pool, a saline bath, nap shells, infra-red cabins, and a serenity room – from sleep to skin, every need is fulfilled.
Guests can float in the iconic infinity-edge pool suspended above the lake, surrounded by snowdusted peaks, before unwinding in the tranquil spa, panoramic saunas, or hydrotherapy circuit. A range of exclusive offerings further enrich guests’ Alpine experience, from private spa suite retreats to the cutting-edge AMRA rituals, which uniquely combine luxurious ingredients such as Pearl, Caviar, Gold, Diamond, and Platinum.
“We are deeply honoured by this recognition,” said Maggie Derblay, Area Director of Spa, Wellness & Recreation for the Bürgenstock Collection. “Wellness is at the heart of our vision - from the
