Obbürgen, 16 September 2026 – Perched 500 metres above Lake Lucerne, with an infinity pool that appears to merge seamlessly with the lake and horizon, the Alpine Spa is one of the defining experiences of Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne. The exceptional wellness destination has now been named “Best Classic Spa in Switzerland” at the Falstaff SPA Awards 2027, while also achieving the highest possible rating of 100/100 points in the Falstaff SPA Guide 2027. Managing Director Chris K. Franzen personally accepted the award during the ceremony at Rosewood Munich. Spanning 10,000 square metres, the Alpine Spa offers a world dedicated to wellness and regeneration amid the Swiss mountains. Its exceptional location, with sweeping views across the lake and surrounding peaks, generous relaxation areas and a high degree of privacy, provides an ideal setting for rest and rejuvenation. Five pools – including the Infinity Edge Pool and the heritage-listed Hollywood Pool, once enjoyed by Audrey Hepburn – are complemented by a selection of saunas and steam baths, self-guided hydrothermal journeys, and an extensive range of treatments and fitness offerings. Yoga, sound bathing and further activities for body and mind complete the experience. Tranquillity, space and discretion have long been integral to the distinctive atmosphere of Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne and are among the reasons why the destination has attracted prominent figures from the worlds of politics, culture and film throughout the decades. The recognition by Falstaff underscores the Alpine Spa’s outstanding position within Switzerland’s wellness landscape while also honouring the expertise, dedication and commitment of the entire team.
