Baldwin, 1780) The second edition of this scarce narrative, same year as the first in identical format. 4to, in antique paper covered boards with paper label on spine, original wrappers retained with three shilling price. A very well preserved and collectible copy, rare in this condition, the original wrappers mellowed and with a few repairs, the binding a little worn but solid and sturdy.

The work secured her fame and many friends, such as the Abbé Grégoire, along with several other prominent Boston intellectuals.

Howe’s narrative to the House of Commons is presented in the first 30 odd pages. The publication also includes Howe’s response to Joseph Galloway’s charges of incompetence and negligence which Galloway had published as LETTERS TO A NOBLEMAN.
