Eszter is a nurse, with a fi rm belief in the healing power of music. As a child, she played the piano for six years, and sang in a choir. The New Year’s Eve recording of the Anthem was her fi rst time singing again after seventeen years. “I was tremendously honored to have been asked by the orchestra. I received so much positive feedback afterwards from those who saw me and were proud of me. This gave me an amazing amount of positive energy, which was particularly great. It was almost like truly experiencing the Anthem for the fi rst time: it really spoke to our heart.” The photo features clarinetist Rudolf Szitka; Eszter says they had a great time taking the pictures. “I tend to suff er from stage freight, but this was fantastic! When I got the photos back, I hardly recognized myself: it was almost like seeing a diff erent person!”
