Wedding Celebrations

Holly Hedge Estate Bed & Breakfast

Built in the 1780s and originally part of the William Penn land grant, HollyHedge Estate is situated on 21 acres of native forests and gardens just north of downtown New Hope. The estate’s rustic charm has become a premier Bucks County wedding destination.

According to General Manager Tim Luccaro, his family has been committed to preserving the elegance and natural beauty of their 18th-century farm and estate since taking over in 1994. “We are really proud of our historic and environmental stewardship at the estate. We really believe that we are responsible for mitigating the ecological impact of our weddings, and ensuring that the rich history of the property is preserved for future generations,” Luccaro says. His family has refurbished many of the historic buildings, restored the estate’s architectural features, and rejuvenated its land. They have a number of acres of land that were put under cultivation to grow various items that they can use in the preparation of food for weddings and their inn guests. “We are taking farm-to-table and sustainability to a new level. Really striving to be an industry leader in corporate responsibility. The food we can’t grow on site, we try to obtain from local sources,” Luccaro says.

The estate has several areas of interest for brides and grooms to utilize during their weddings. There is a classic fieldstone bank barn, which is popular for wedding ceremonies and cocktail hours. “The Old Barn’s” original construction highlights exposed fieldstone and wood beams with expansive, vaulted ceilings with a massive hearth inlaid with tiles from the Mercer Tile Works. Adjacent to it is a classic English garden multiple water

features. On the property there also are two small ornamental ponds, seasonal gardens, wildflower preserves and various historic outbuildings that offer unique backdrops for wedding pictures. A newer pole barn was constructed for receptions in 2002. This space has all of the modern amenities needed for a celebration. Including a full-service kitchen, in which all food for events is made on site by their award-winning culinary team. The estate’s original manor house has 15 guest rooms. Inn guests are invited to enjoy a full-service breakfast on weekends from their in-house baker and chefs.

HollyHedge Estate has garnered numerous awards over the years including annual Couple’s Choice Awards from Wedding Wire and The Knot. They were recently inducted into The Knot Hall of Fame. The estate can host up to 200 guests for a wedding. Couples have access to their full-time, onsite wedding planners. All of the catering at HollyHedge Estate is done in-house. Executive Chef David Fry and Sous Chef Elise Hayes offer a large menu characterized as Nouveau American cuisine with French, Asian, and Spanish influences. Pastry Chef Krystal Baker does all of the baking on site as well. There are several wedding packages from which couples can choose, as well as completely customizable options.

You can contact the wedding coordinators at HollyHedge Estate today to reserve your wedding date or schedule a tour by appointment only. The historic venue is located at 6987 Upper York Road in New Hope, PA. Their phone number is 215-8623136. For more information, see them on Facebook or visit www.hollyhedge.com.

Historic Stonebrook Farm

Historic Stonebrook Farm is a gathering place for families and friends that featurees a historic field-stone barn built in 1837 surrounded by idyllic agricultural scen

In the Tyson family since 1859, Stonebrook Farm was long used as a working dairy farm. In the late 70's the dairy cows were sold and the future of the farm was unknown. Wm. Scott Tyson and his wife Barbara (Babs) were able to acquire the farm in 1981 and continued the process of restoring and maintaining it. Over the years it has become a gathering place for the Tyson's church and youth group, as well as many community groups. When the Tyson children were teenagers, it even housed a Christian Dance Party reaching up to 250 teens monthly. In 2014 the Tysons were granted approval from Bedminster Township to become an event venue and specifically, weddings.

Today, Historic Stonebrook Farm is operated by Wm. Scott & Babs Tyson (6th Generation Tysons on the Property) and their eldest daughter Abby Bryan and her husband Seth. It is their desire to be good stewards of the property in order to maintain it for future generations. In doing so, we offer the Barn and property to be rented out for family and community events on a limited basis. It would be our sincere pleasure to serve your family at Historic Stonebrook.

Make our farm yours for the day!

Truly Unique Jewelry

Nick

Ferro of Woodstock, Vermont who is founder and owner of NT Ferro Estate & Custom Jewelers and has introduced a limited selection of rings featuring elgant diamonds mined in th 1920s in designs from the 1920s. They are antique and truly unique.

Over the years, he acquired pieces of jewelry that he particularly admired. Nick would remove the large center diamond from the mounting and then have a mold made of the ring, preserving a record of its design. Today, this process is done withcomputer-aided design (CAD) software. After the mold was created, he reset the stone in the original ring and brought it to top condition for its next owner. With time, Nick built an extensive collection of molds—200 or so.

Recently, his wife Beverly nudged it along, encouraging Nick to select some of his favorite designs and have them cast in gold and platinum. The rings dating to the 1920s featured the Old European–cut diamonds. Beyond the hand-cutting technique, which results in larger facets overall, they have a large culet (the facet at the bottom of the diamond) and a small table (the facet at the top). This design affects the way light bounces around inside the gem and then re-emerges with multicolored flashes. Every one of his 1920 designs is set with European diamonds that were hand cut in the 1920s.

Back in 1994, when DeBeers selected Nick Ferro’s elegant double diamond ring design over more than 600 otherentries, Nick was already thinking about the spectacular attributes of Old European–cut diamonds. This spring, heis bringing them forward in these one-of-a kind-beauties in distinctive settings of their time.
