Woodruff also guided the Bison to their sixth Patriot League Tournament Championship appearance in 2021-22. The 2021-22 season, which saw Bucknell eclipse the 20-wins mark (24-10) for a sixth consecutive full campaign, culminated with a trip to the second round of the WNIT. The Bison won at Fordham in the first round, marking just the third time a Patriot League team had won a WNIT matchup. The Bison went on to face Drexel in the round of 32 and held a lead late in the fourth quarter before falling to the Colonial Athletic Association's regular season acts champion.

Having been picked third in the preseason poll, the Bison ended up with the highest NET ranking in the league (100) and reached the Patriot League title game where they faced top-seeded American. Woodruff’s Bison finished atop the league in scoring defense for second time in three seasons and was among the top 20 in the nation in the category for a third straight year. Bucknell posted an undefeated regular season (8-0) during a shortened 2020-21 campaign and secured the top seed in the Patriot League Tournament for a second consecutive season. Bucknell was one of only two teams in the country to go unbeaten during the regular season. The 2021 Bison sported the country’s fewest turnovers per game and finished second in the league in both scoring defense and scoring offense. Under Woodruff, Bucknell put together a program-record 18-game winning streak that spanned more than 13 months. Woodruff’s first season with the Bison was among the most impressive in Patriot League history as the team won the regular season title by a four-game margin and captured the regular season title at 24-6 overall (16-2 PL). During the 2019-20 campaign, Woodruff elevated the Bucknell scoring defense to eighth in the country with a program-record 53.6 points allowed per game. Prior to Bucknell, Woodruff compiled a 113-10 record and four conference championships over four years as head coach at the University of Scranton.

Scranton was nearly unbeatable during Woodruff’s four seasons with the team. In addition to the outstanding overall record, the Royals went 53-6 in league play, including a 16-0 record in his first season, while winning four straight Landmark Conference titles. MOLLY GILLIS

MGR. OF BASKETBALL OPERATIONS • FIRST SEASON AT BUCKNELL • COLORADO COLLEGE Molly Gillis joined the Bucknell women's basketball team as manager of basketball operations in July 2022. Gillis brings more than five years of collegiate athletics experience to Bucknell, having spent time as a student-athlete, an athletics operations staff member, a student manager and coach. "We are thrilled to have Molly join our Bison women's basketball family. I believe the foundation for any success is surrounding yourself with great people, and Molly fits that description. I am excited to introduce her to Bucknell and the entire Lewisburg community so she can see firsthand what makes this such a special place," said Woodruff. Most recently, Gillis served as a special events supervisor with the College Station Parks & Recreation department in College Station, Texas. In the position, Gillis coordinated parks & recreation initiatives at Wolf Pen Creek Park, managing finances, assisting with project management and coordinating local events and programs. On the athletics front, Gillis worked as an event/facility manager for Power2Play Sports Events Center in Windsor, Colo. from 2019 to 2021, coordinating operations for major summer basketball tournaments and overseeing summer league competition. While earning her master's degree in sport management at Texas A&M, Gillis served as a student manager for the women's basketball team and was with the Aggies during their 2021 SEC regular-season title run and their trip to the NCAA Sweet 16. She assisted with the organization of team practices, monitored player involvement in the community and maintained the program's master event schedule among other duties. During her undergraduate career at Colorado College, Gillis supported the athletic department with management of game day operations and assisted with game admissions. Throughout her junior and senior years, she coached the Rocky Mountain Fever Basketball Club and served as an intramural supervisor. Elsewhere, Gillis has worked as a marketing intern at the Goodyear Cotton Bowl in 2019, served as a manager at the United States Olympic Training Center and worked as an event assistant at the Coach Blair Celebrity Golf Tournament. A native of Fort Collins, Colo., Gillis earned her bachelor's degree in economics from Colorado College in 2019 and was a member of the NCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Gillis played two seasons of women's basketball for the Tigers, appearing in 33 games.
