Dear Residents Of Bourbonnais Township Park District,

Hello and Happy New Year! We sincerely hope everyone had a great fall and back to school season and are ready for the winter weather. As we close 2024 and welcome 2025 we all wish you and your families great health and happiness in the new year. Thank you for your continued support in 2024 and we are excited for the many great recreation opportunities we have throughout the year starting with the 2025 BTPD Winter/Spring Brochure. Inside this brochure you will find many recreation opportunities such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Chocolate Tour, youth basketball league, and many other youth and family programs and events. I promise that your family will enjoy any activity that you participate in.

During the fall season, our hard working park district staff accomplished various great successes. Our recreation team saw continued success in program and events such as the Scarecrow Contest and Festival, Sleepy Hollow, various programs/trips and our preschool program. Our maintenance team worked on a variety of in-house projects such as Willowhaven Park path improvements, sidewalk connection to the Perry Farm Park zip line playground, construction of the Kulture City Sensory Room at the Exploration Station, recycled park bench replacements at Turnberry Park, and landscaping improvements in various parks. The administration and Park Board team have continuously worked within the Perry Farm Park Master Plan with further along design plans for an improved Exploration Station and initial plans for the rest of Perry Farm Park. We have lots of ongoing ideas on how we will improve all our parks and recreation. As we get further along in the process we will invite you to learn more at a Park Board Meeting.

Within this brochure please take 15 minutes and view our Recreation Needs Assessment Survey, so that we can make the most informed future decisions. This is an important survey that will help us assist you in providing quality recreation experiences. The Recreation Needs Assessment Survey will strictly focus on recreation needs, for example, programs, events and more. Additionally, we want to learn from you what is working that we can further develop, what is not working, new types of programs or events to focus on. Overall, the purpose is to learn from your household feedback on what types of recreation opportunities and improvement you may or may not like to see. You can find the QR Code to the survey on page 6. Please be honest, respectful, provide true feedback and thank you in advance for your time. Again, thank you for your continued support of the BTPD and if you ever have a question or comment, please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you again and Go Bourbonnais Township Park District!
