On a recent trip to my hometown Norfolk, Virginia I drove pass one of the highlights of my youth. It was a place where my friends and I would visit after a long week of test, trials, and pop quizzes. A week full of chores and built up sexual energy from views of se beautiful girls walking down the hallway in high school. At the end of the week we would visit Military Circle Mall.

Military Circle Mall was in the perfect location right between Norfolk and Virginia Beach on the ‘boulevard.’ I had many memories there including several nights at “Flipper McCoys” ,the teen arcade where everyone would show off their cars and latest fashions.

Where I would show off my high score on the basketball shoot out, though my basketball skills on the court had some catching up to do.

It’s with these experiences that my passing this staple in our community meeting its financial demise was heart wrenching.

Military Circle Mall was as empty as the comments and likes section on a whack selfie. It was ghost. I recall counting about 10 people including store clerks.
