Gharda Chemicals Limited, incorporated in 1967, is a researchbased company with four manufacturing units. The company has won several national awards for technical innovation in the chemical industry and has many firsts in the field of dyestuffs, pesticides, veterinary, drugs, and polymers. Innovation through a vibrant R&D has marked the rise of Gharda Chemicals Limited (GCL) from a small unit in 1964 to one of the most successful and reputed companies in the Agrochemical Industry. Today, Gharda Chemicals is the second largest manufacturers and exporters of Agrochemicals, in India. We are exporting our products to more than 90 countries. A strong and vibrant R&D program and expertise in process development has enabled the company to capitalize on superior technology. This has led to the production of vital import-substitute products and cost-effective agrochemicals on a large scale and consequently to a strong, competitive national and international presence. Apart from Agrochemicals, Gharda Chemicals is manufacturing the High Performance Pigments and High Performance Polymers. A single-point source of a wide range of pigments developed in-house, to cater for the market demands of Printing Inks, Paints, Plastic and Textile. The pigments developed cover various chemical classes. Pigment division was established in the year 2003 with an objective of leveraging Gharda Chemical’s core competence of R&D to develop and commercialize highperformance pigments of excellent quality consistently. Today we are the leading manufacturer of HighPerformance Pigments like PV 23, PR122, PV19 and PY 138. We are ISO 9001-2008/14001-2014/180012007 certified by SGS and above products are registered for REACH Gharda has recently commercialized the high performance engineering thermoplastic, Polyether Ketone (PEK) under the trade name GPAEK™, with its in-house patented technology. Along with G-PAEK, we also produce high performance polymers such as Polybenzimidazole (PBI) and Polyether ether ketone (PEKK). The products and technology from Gharda can be found in many important segments such as industrial, medical, food, electrical & electronics, automotive industry, nuclear and building & construction.

Gharda was honoured by the Government of India with the award of Padma Shri 2016 Plasticon Golden Trophy for the Most Innovative Polymer, for the period 2012-2015 by PlastIndia Foundation for development and commercialization of PEK/APBI injection moldable thermoplastic alloys. 2015 Third National Innovation Award-for “Innovation in Polymeric Materials” for the development and commercialization of ABPBI, by the Dept. of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. Women Empowerment

• 32 self-help groups in action and around 40 in process of registration, helping over 1,500 women (at least 30% below poverty line)

• Participatory approach, not exceeding 50% aid in the form of material grant, for construction of classrooms, flooring or roofing of classrooms, sanitation, drinking water, purchase of books etc.
