Historic Smith Greenhouse Renovation Complete

We did it. We made our goal! With help from our generous supporters, we raised the funds needed to renovate the display greenhouses.

We’re ready to celebrate! Join us for a members-only preview on Sunday, October 17, 2021 and see the new beds and plantings in our beautiful display greenhouses before they open to the public on Monday, October 18. We are also hosting a donor reception—by invitation only—on Saturday, October 16.

By contributing to the Smith Building and Greenhouse Renovation Campaign, the following donors helped Boyce Thompson Arboretum repair these unique, century-old structures. And because of their generosity, the historic greenhouses will always be a beautiful focal point for the Arboretum, inspiring visitors for the next 100 years and more. With their support, we can continue to preserve and operate the greenhouses— displaying, interpreting and protecting some of our planet’s most endangered and iconic desert plant species. That is a great legacy!
