1975

1977

Fr. Timothy Killkelly, M.M. is a member of Maryknoll’s new General Council with an East-West vision for sharing mission’s gift of compassion. Most recently, he served as coordinator of Maryknoll’s China Educators and Formation Project. That program, started in 1991, brought Chinese patients and Sisters to the United States to earn advanced degrees at Catholic universities. Since the program began, over 150 Chinese Church leaders have earned degrees.

1985

Mark Vande Hei returned to Earth on March 30 after a record-setting 355 days in space aboard the International Space Station. Students and staff sported red, white, and blue, and students enjoyed rocket pops in honor of his safe return.

posed for a photo before the annual BSM Alumni/Senior Breakfast on May 3.After the breakfast, the graduates toured the halls of BSM to view the facility updates and reminisced about their high school days.

1998

Mary and Roger Bertossi are pleased to announce the birth of Graham Ellingsen on April 20. Graham’s big brother Yale is 4 years old. Mary is a pediatric endocrinology nurse practitioner, and Roger is a 5th grade teacher. The Bertossi family lives in Smyrna, Georgia.

2008

Brian Graupner and wife Julia welcomed baby Ella Victoria on Feb. 2.

2009

Nicole Kivo married Jordan Nady on Sept. 11, 2021, at Madden’s Resort. The maids of honor included classmates

Kellie Hartmann Gerhauser, Natalie Guggenberger, and Kelsey Daley Smitt.

Bridget Kelly Mord and Sydney Speltz enjoyed catching up and visiting with senior Red Knights at the Alumni/Senior Breakfast on May 3. Bridget is an account supervisor at Carmichael Lynch for CPG Brands, and Sydney is a financial reporting manager at Northern Oil and Gas. They both live in the Twin Cities area.

2011

Greg and Maddy Moore Zeman welcomed Harper Sloane into the world on May 11.

2012

Matt Qualen and Amanda Johnson were married on June 26, 2021, in Cushing, Minnesota.

2014

Kasi Petersen is the assistant women’s hockey coach at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota in Winona.

McKenzie Swenson is the tournament operations coordinator for the PGA Tour and director of logistics for Augusta Corporate Events, LLC.

2015

Ben Newhouse

graduated from Northern Michigan University with a Masters of Science. He is headed to Brunico, Italy to play hockey this fall with HC Pustertal.

2016

The Alumni/Senior Breakfast reunited classmates Brooke Stanley, Maddie Etienne, and Sisay Shannon-Tamrat. Brooke (graduate of Rochester Institute for Technology) works as a mechanical engineer to develop a treatment for prostate cancer at Francis Medical. Maddie (graduate of St. Olaf College) works at Girl Scouts River Valleys as a community organizer to develop outreach plans and build stronger relationships with schools, families, and volunteers. Sisay (graduate of Brandeis University) provides public services for clients through her work with Community Mediation and Restorative Services while attending graduate school at the University of Minnesota for Human Rights.

2017

Annie Griebie won the Minnesota Psychological Association’s 2021 Donald G. Paterson Undergraduate Award in Psychology. Griebie is the third CSB student to win the award in the 60-year history of this honor, bestowed to “the outstanding college senior planning a career in psychology.”

2018

Henry Wolfe, Sami Tarnowski, and Clyde Sellke graduated from the University of Iowa. Henry earned a degree in enterprise leadership with a minor in rhetoric and persuasion. He will be spending the summer on a fishing boat off the coast of Kodiak, Alaska. With a degree in psychology and a minor in Spanish, Sami will move on to

Regis University in Denver to pursue her doctorate in physical therapy. Clyde earned an economics degree from the Tippy School of Business.

Jerome Newhouse graduated magna cum laude from St. John’s University. He earned a B.A. with a double major in computer science and finance. He is pictured with Ben ‘15 and parents Margrette and John Newhouse.

Eric Weber graduated from the University of Dayton with a degree in exercise science.

Matthew Kocourek and Bridget Yazvec

completed 16 years of Catholic education together when they celebrated their graduation from Creighton University in May. Matthew graduated from the Heider College of Business with a degree in financial analysis and consumer analytics. He will be working at City Ventures in Omaha as a financial analyst. Bridget graduated from the College of Nursing and will be working as a registered nurse in the medicalsurgical unit at the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center -West Bank.

Michael Hunter

graduated summa cum laude from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in accounting, a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance, and a minor in communications. He will be working for PwC in Cincinnati.

Sam Charles graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture. He will be working at Unispace in Chicago.
