To participate you must have been in operation for at least two years, have one full time employee and a gross sales in the range of $200K to one million. Upon completion of the program, each participant will receive a certificate.

This series is $80 per person for members of the Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce and $100 for non-members.

Fees are payable to the Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce prior to the first session, and will include heavy appetizers and beer/wine.

She owned and operated a marketing, graphic design and printing firm for 17 years and has extensive experience in marketing, finance and operations. The purpose of the Blue Springs Chamber Business of the Year award is to recognize excellence in business.

Each year the Chamber recognizes businesses that are active members of the community and proud of what they have achieved in business.

Companies may nominate themselves, be nominated or nominate another company. Nomination forms are available online or at the Chamber office and will be accepted through Friday, November 15, 2019.

Business of the Year

The purpose of the Blue Springs Chamber Business of the Year award is to recognize excellence in business.

The Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year winner will be chosen with the following guidelines and criteria: The guidelines are: • Must be a Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce member in good standing.

• Must be in business for a minimum of three (3) years.

With consideration of the following criteria: • Active member of the community and leadership role of owner (s) and/or staff in civic activities.

• Mission and stability of business and business practices.

• Gives generously of themselves and/or staff in time and resources to the community and/or Chamber.

Each year, businesses that are nominated are asked to provide information to a Selection Committee. This appointed Selection Committee confidentially reviews and evaluates the applications. The Selection Committee consists of the following: Past Chair of the Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce, Chairman or Previous Chairman of the Blue Springs Economic Development Corporation/Council, the previous year’s Connector of the Year and two previous winners of the Business of the Year Award.

Meet Tim For two years, Tim “the Light Guy” and Michelle Truesdale have been working with commercial and nonprofit clients to provide efficient LED technology. Under the brand of Yellowblue LED, the “dynamic duo” has served 200 facilities, including offices, retail, and industrial clients, as well as churches and nonprofits.

One of their favorite projects was the Blue Springs YMCA Natatorium. They recently joined the Blue Springs Chamber, and have jumped right into volunteering at the Fall Fun Fest and serving on the Chamber’s Ambassador Committee.

As a direct sales organization, Tim & Michelle’s company designs, builds, and distributes their own top of the line LED lighting at fair prices. They provide free lighting assessments to evaluate project feasibility, they work directly with utility companies to find rebate options and identify federal tax credit options.

Most projects see a 50-70% reduction in energy usage, and their products last for decades.

And now, Tim & Michelle are excited to announce a rebranding! In the Kansas City Market, Yellowblue LED is becoming Ecologix. This will allow them to expand their service beyond commercial LED to branch into solar, as well as providing residential energy conservation products and fire alarm systems.
