THE CHAMBER

CONNECTION

CHEERS TO 60 YEARS!

October marked the 60th Anniversary of the Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce

On Thursday, October 20, the Chamber celebrated it’s 60th anniversary during the monthly luncheon. We were honored to have several past chairpersons of the board in attendance, and to have received proclamations of recognition from both the City of Blue Springs and the Missouri State Senate.

OUT OF THE BLUE

Encouraging our future workforce to think outside the box with the support of seasoned businesses

Several Chamber members participated in the annual Blue Springs School District “Out of the Blue” event. Members were mentors to students from four area high schools as they gained real world experience brainstorming marketing ideas and plans for the Kansas City Curling Club and the upcoming Blue Springs Aquatic Center.

6 Chamber Connection

I’m the Owner and Business Administrator at JLaws Media. I run the back end of the business, interact with the customers/clients to ensure we keep open communication throughout their video process, create marketing and ad materials for the business and also go along on filming day as needed. Our mission is to capture a beautiful moment or vision into a visual story.

I am a Kansas City native and LOVE Kansas City. We chose Blue Springs as our forever home as we loved the community, home prices, all of the shopping opportunities and easy access to downtown KC.

As a half-hispanic woman I pride myself on being a minority woman who provides excellent customer service for our clients. I hold a Master’s in Business, a Project Management Certificate and am currently learning Spanish. When I’m not working or learning, Dion and I love to take cruises with our 2 kiddos (Luke and Joy) and I love woodworking to make DIY projects (power tools are an awesome thing!). I’ve also recently lost a total of 60 pounds so I’ve taken on weight lifting and running as a hobby to stay mentally and physically healthy.
