American Greed: Six Feet Plunder Presented By: Marty Meyers In June of 2016, Marty Meyers of Meyers Funeral Chapel was interviewed on CNBC’s program American Greed. The episode was called “Six Feet Plunder”. The episode detailed Doug Cassity, who sold fake prearranged funeral contracts, amounting to $500 million. Meyers Funeral Chapel was one of Doug’s clients. Marty will share his amazing story, what he learned, how he found out, and how he has overcome this incredible challenge.

Heritage Habitat for Humanity to help fund the renovation and repurposing of the historic Hiram Young School in Independence, Missouri to provide family homeownership, educational and construction workforce training programs in collaboration with area businesses, school districts, and other area non-profit organizations. Your donation can be turned into a tax savings for you! **NAP tax credits are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. **Construction costs for the Hiram Young School renovation project have been underwritten by the Missouri Department of Economic Development, Neighborhood Assistance Program and the taxpayers of the State of Missouri.

 Any business paying taxes in Missouri is eligible, including:  Sole proprietors  Partnerships  Limited Liability  Corporations Corporations  S-corporations  Farm operations  Individuals with income from royalties, rental property or a farm  Qualified contributions include cash, materials, supplies, equipment, technical assistance and professional services, labor; or stocks or bonds

How do I apply?

What is NAP? NAP is a tax credit program

operated by the State of Missouri Department of Economic Development that provides credits to eligible donors helping to improve communities.

Eligible Missouri businesses who make a qualifying donation to the renovation of the Hiram Young School will receive a 50% state tax credit in addition to state and federal income tax deductions associated with charitable donations.

Who do I contact if I have questions?

1. Request the NAP credit when making a qualified donation.

2. You will receive a Tax Credit Application with detailed directions.

3. Return the form, along with a copy of your cancelled check or other documentation of your donation, to Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity.

4. You will receive notification of approval from the State of Missouri.

5. Submit Form MO-TC with your Missouri income tax return in order to utilize the credit. NAP tax credits may be used for the tax year in which the donation or possibly carried forward for up to five succeeding tax years.
