EJC DAY AT THE CAPITAL

STATE OF THE CITY Mayor Carson Ross delivered his 14th consecutive State of the City Address at the Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon Thursday, March 17. The theme of the 2021 State of the City Address was “We Celebrate our Past While excited about our Future.” Mayor Ross reflected on the past year, celebrated the many successes the City has achieved and shared key priorities and initiatives for the future. CANDIDATE FORUM The Chamber and The Examiner co-hosted a Candidate Forum on Thursday, March 24. All candidates for the April election were invited to attend. There are three seats for the Blue Springs City Council on the ballot and two seats for the Blue Springs School Board. Thank you to CJCFPD Training Facility for hosting this event. On Tuesday, March 1, Jackson County Chambers held a Legislative Advocacy Day in Jefferson City. During the visit they met with Governor Parson and elected officials, heard Workforce Development and Legislative updates, learned about a new division within the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and heard from the Economic Development Department.
