Hello,

My staff have been working through their mandatory training for a while now, however we have a CQC inspection coming up and I wondered if you could please advise how often my staff need to take their mandatory training? Do they just do it the once or does it need redoing?
Thanks,
Practice Manager, Devon

Hi there,
Thank you for getting in touch with Blue Stream Academy! Most modules will need to be retaken every 1 or 2 years, depending on the topic’s ‘retraining period’.
The retraining periods are often decided by individual organisations, and some sites are guided by recommendations from their local governing bodies.
If you need any guidance on how often each module should be retaken, please see our retake guidelines in the ‘Help & Support’ section of the Management of Information System (MIS).
If you’re worried about remembering when each module needs to be retaken, you can use Blue Stream’s ‘Module Settings’ to set up each module on a site-wide or job-role basis so that it resets automatically in line with your given retraining period.
In these settings, your chosen reset period allows you to give staff a window in which to complete their training, ensuring that they retake the content before the period expires.
We hope this can be of assistance, but if you have any questions please speak to a member of the team!
Many thanks,
Team BSA
