Island life has taught us a few things. We learned it’s best to travel light. Everything you own, espe-cially what you choose to wear should work for you, not the other way around. We learned that looking your best means being at ease. Ease comes from feeling good, wrapped in natural, breathable fabrics, as well as being confident your garments will function in any environment you might encounter. We designed the capsule collection to ensure your best foot is forward. Classic styles cleverly refined means they don’t stand out at first glance, begging for attention. It’s only upon closer inspection that others will notice the subtle details that separate a Bryland garment. But we don’t mind, after all it was designed for you.
For some of us it's home and for others it's our favorite place to visit. Harbour Island is two miles off the Northeast coast of Eleuthera, it's just a half mile wide and 3.5 miles long. More commonly know by it's inhabitants, "Briland" is primarily renowned for its pink sand beach and supremely defensible port. But for us it's about our relationships with the friends and family that inhabit this magical place and Bryland's clothing is inspired by the style, colour and substance of these people. We returned to our island to shoot the 2018 resort capsule collection and revisited some of the people and places we hold close to our heart. As you turn the pages you will meet Robert Arthur at his charming bakery cafe with the pineapple fence, in addition to Jay-Jay Percentie greeting you from Bay Street. The Devil's Backbone beach lined with fur trees offered us a respite from the sun. And of course no trip would be complete without striking a pose in front of the now infamous Lone Tree on the sand flats. Also you can't miss catching a sunset at Valentine's marina.
