BSRI STAFF MEMBER OF THE MONTH
Holley Norris Center Director, The Brunswick Center at Calabash
“I was blessed to have met all of my grandparents, and three of my great-grandparents,” Holley says. “They helped shape me into the person I am today. Because of them, I felt a desire to work with older adults and do my part in ensuring those in my community had opportunities to be the healthiest, happiest version of themselves.”
During her sophomore summer in high school, Holley went on a trip across the United States. Teens Westward Bound was made up of 87 passengers, mostly strangers, for 23 days. They traveled from North Carolina as far north as Cody, Wyoming; as far west as Yosemite National Park; as far south as Kerrville, Texas; and back to North Carolina. “It was the trip of a lifetime and one I will cherish for the rest of my life,” she says.
Holley is a “crime junkie” and listens to podcasts about crime on her commute to work.
When it comes to pizza, Holley loves extra cheese and any topping. And she says yes, pineapple DOES belong on pizza!
