A Trust company authorized Brunk Auctions to offer fine art and antiques from a Nashville, Tennessee estate. After discovering the contents of the safety deposit boxes, the jewelry and coin collection sold for $242,000, which maximized the amount of funds donated to charity as laid out in the decedents will.
Originally a gift from the artist to a distant family relative, this painting hung in the same house for generations. Brunk Auctions realized the value of this American art and set a world record for this artist by selling it for $1,700,000. The sale of this work helped the estate achieve its goal of monetizing objects for the use of future generations.
One of the countries preeminent antique dealers of the 20th century, Peter Tillou, passed away in 2022. The estate executor contracted with Brunk Auctions, based on our stellar reputation in the secondary market, to liquidate objects from this world class collection. After researching objects, presenting the items to the public, and robust marketing, the collection realized $3,555,230.
Generational wealth can be monetized by the offering of family heirlooms from estates. Having been owned by Wilhemine Kirby Waller, the granddaughter of Thomas Ellis Kirby, the founder of the American Art Association, this Chinese vase, dating to the Qing dynasty realized $104,550 when offered.
