Montage Montage is a design series based on art in all forms, styles, techniques, and media. Art is one of the simplest ways to express creativity and individual expression. Elements of curated pieces obtained over time, displayed in galleries to inspire and be enjoyed by others. These patterns showcase an all-encompassing appreciation of art from modern, graphic structures to previously hidden, now unearthed and discovered masterpieces. With a focus on warm greys and indigo, the color palette brings a mid-century modern aesthetic, combining a richness and masculinity with soft feminine touches with lighter, earth tones. Accents of blush ranging from brick rusts to nude beiges highlight the designs with visual layering.
At ENCORE, we have a passion for children and promoting the arts. Therefore, we have partnered with Dreaming Zebra Foundation. The Dreaming Zebra is a public charity that provides donations of art and music supplies to children and young adults throughout the world. Dreaming Zebra’s core identity is the belief that all children, regardless of their financial circumstances, should have access to art education and supplies. For each design from the Montage collection purchased, ENCORE will make a donation to Dreaming Zebra Foundation.

ENCORE chose to partner with artist Lydia Cash on a commissioned piece for the Montage collection that is featured as a dye injection rug and available to specify. Lydia Cash is a Chicago artist whose work embraces a sense of freedom and irreverence with gestural, painterly strokes found within her large scale abstract and figurative paintings. Her paintings are deeply passionate, unbridled, and profoundly felt by both the artist and the observer. Her process focuses on embracing the unknown, trusting her instinct, and discovering what the piece will become as she creates, placing equal significance on the process itself as the finished outcome. Her paintings, therefore, relay a narrative of this journey of discovery of truth. Cash grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. There she studied at The Alabama School of Fine Arts, and went on to earn her BA in Fine Art from Auburn University. Lydia relocated to Chicago in 2013 and her infatuation with the city has since become a wellspring of inspiration for her work. “Sincere, passionate, and unbridled, Lydia Cash’s work seeks to proclaim her own personal truths through the lens of acrylic paint. Her paintings emphasize raw emotion through vivid colors and striking brushstrokes, vehemently affirming trust within herself and with her audience. To her, each painting begins with a remnant of the unknown, which transforms her craft, while static in form, into a living and breathing journey.
