SUSTAINABILITY
ENCORE has a strong focus on recycling of waste materials. All waste yarn is sold to yarn recycling companies for reuse in the carpet industry and we recycle our water from our drying processes.
Our engineering department is focused on top quality machine maintenance and will recycle parts when logical. ENCORE holds large quantities of steel materials to use during expansion and construction.
Our yarn system, Zeftron®, has a minimum 25% recycled fiber content in every color produced as well as a fully renewable type 6 nylon, Zeftron® nylon can be recycled back into virgin-grade nylon and reused in new commercial carpet products over and over again without losing any performance, durability, coloring, or styling attributes. Additionally, carpets made with Zeftron® can contribute to LEED credits resulting from its Cradle to Cradle Silver certifications.
ENCORE’s efforts to be sustainable are recognized by the Carpet and Rug Institute.
