After extensive review and consideration, the Hawaii State Commission on Fatherhood has chosen seven very worthy candidates for 2021 as “Father-of-the Year” award recognition.

Another Kapolei awardee is Stewart Minn Soo Choi.
A married father of five children, he has had tons of prac�cal as well as professional opportuni�es to his advanced Social Working skills as a dedicated parent, skilled community counselor, and a fully scholared professor helping all those in need with all the talents he has developed and honed. Kaulana Pakele (Kapolei) was the �irst candidate to be awarded posthumously for his his dedication to music, his wife, his children, and his community particularly during these unusual isolations caused by COVID. He used his lifelong talent and career in music to restore those who needed its healing properties. He was a mentor for many and will be remembered forever.
