T h e 36-hole co m pl ex i s the oldest g o l f c o u r s e in L o s A n g e l e s Co u n t y and situated in the go l d e n foothills of P asad e n a next to the famed R o s e Bowl. Nay C o u r s e , a par 7 0 m e asu r i n g 6 ,0 2 5 yards. E a c h fourso me will tee off at the fi rst (1st ) tee in sequential order similar to "regular" gol f. F u l l - F i el d Shotgun T h i s option i s d e si g n e d for l ar ge g r o u p s (144 minimum guar antee) and requires that the full c o u r s e be used. T w o g r o u p s start on e ac h hole. All player s will start and finish at approximately the sam e time. Mo d i f i ed S h o t g u n T h i s option i s d e si g n e d for g r o u p s of 72 g o l f e r s or more. It requires that half a c o u r s e be used. T w o g r o u p s start on e ac h hole, a s an example hole 1 - 9 g r o u p s A & B. All players will st art and finish at approximately the sam e time. Popular Tournament Pl ay Fo r mat Options Best Ball T h i s format may be played a s 2, 3, or 4 - p e r so n teams, and i s typically a fun format with a medium p a ce of play. Golfers play their own ball on e ac h hole, r e c o r d i n g the lowest s c o r e a s the team sco r e . T h i s format may be played with or without a handicap. R e s u l t s c a n be cal cu l at e d quickly. Scramble T h i s format i s one of the more enjoyable for tournament play, a s only the g o o d s h o t s are played, r e su l t i n g in a f ast p ac e of play. T h e tournament b e g i n s with all players h itt in g a tee shot. T h e n the be st tee sh o t i s se l e ct e d and all players take their s e c o n d sh o t from that point. T h e p r o c e s s i s repeated until the ball i s “holed out” and the team r e c o r d s a sco r e . T h e w in ni n g team i s the one that r e c o r d s the lowest 18-hole sco r e .
