The Ladies of Brookridge thank the players who contribute to the Hernando County Senior Scholarship Fund. We have a great group of players. They are friendly and helpful to newcomers. Come and join us, we have a lot of fun. It is a pleasure working with the players, volunteers and our callers.

All sales begin at 4:30pm. Early Bird at 5:00pm. Regular bingo starts at 5:30 pm in the North Hall.

Bring your snacks, smiles and daubers for a great evening of fun!! For more information call: Anna Webster at 352-592-6432 or Patrona Turman at 352-610-4292

We had our last meeting for the summer on April 11th. With a lot of our volunteers going north, we will have a skeleton crew for the next few months. Our next meeting will be September 12th at 11:00 am in Room D of the Clubhouse.

This will be an important meeting as we will be appointing a Nominating Committee for new officers. Ellie is stepping down as President. She took the office in 2013 and feels we need new blood.

We will train all newcomers! All who want to learn to call can come to the Clubhouse on Tuesdays at 3:00 pm. Most of our people only give up ONE Friday a month. Help Needed: Floor Workers – Cashiers – Bankers – Caller – Kitchen Workers. It's time to get involved. We have a lot of new people here and we would love to have you be part of the team. Our profits go to Food Banks and Hernando County Charities. Because of the profit we make, we give back to BCPO every month.

EXERCISE GROUP EXERCISE GROUP

by Linda Hartman

Don't quit exercising as you get older. Brain scans of active older people showed they had more of a class of proteins associated with healthy cognition which indicates the protective effects of exercise.

Try walking some extra steps starting today and try our exercise class.

Our class is for Brookridge residents and their houseguests (Sorry, no children). The cost is fifty cents per class and the first class is free! Class starts at 8:30 am and runs to 9:30 am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Classes start with low impact aerobics followed by stretch and tone; weights; and either mats or chairs. The class ends with a balance circle. Weights and mats are available if you don't have your own. Come have fun with us!

Bathing Suit Season is upon us, but Are We Ready? It's not too late to get into the swing of getting rid of our excess weight. Being on a weight control program isn't easy, but our support group helps.

Come join us on Monday mornings at 9:00 am and check out our program.

It helps to have the support of your family and friends. We encourage you to eat three healthy a day.
