Brookridge Deed Restrictions prohibits boats, trailers and certain vehicles from being parked on a lot unless they are in a garage or a properly screened carport.
ACC Guidelines address those screening requirements and specify acceptable types of screening material and their placement.
Lattice panels are a commonly used screening material but other types such as privacy panels or live screening may be used.
Specific installation criteria are explained in the Guidelines and should be clearly indicated on a sketch accompanying an ACC application.
Code Enforcement personnel are available to assist in completing applications and, as always, you may contact me directly at harrycalderbank@tampabay.rr.com for information regarding your applications. Please indicate ACC Questions in the subject line.
SECURITY CAPTAIN'S REPORT
By Greg Schubert
Our Entertainment season is in full swing. Many great shows are enjoyed by all residents and visitors so the amount of people in attendance creates unique traffic issues.
Before the show, the large parking Lot will only have 0ne (1) entrance. Security personnel will direct traffic into the exit of the lot to avoid the pedestrian foot traffic near the Clubhouse.
The circular driveway is reserved for vehicles dropping someone off at the building.
Please follow all temporary traffic signs and please use the crosswalks to get to and from the Clubhouse.
If everyone does their small part, all will enjoy a safe entertaining show season.

Nancy Cundall
Born November 10, 1952 Passed October 3, 2022 ~
Nancy was a very social person, so a lot of people knew her in many ways. One of her favorite things to do was play both Tuesday Night Bingo and Friday Nite Bingo. She loved it so much that she had to be there hours before it started. This gave her social time with her friends, she always said it was to save seats, but we know she wanted to get out of the house and gab with her friends. One of the things that bummed Nancy out in the end was that she couldn't get to the clubhouse to play and gab. She did love the poster that Tuesday Night Bingo made for her-so many good friends.
Another one of her favorite things was her gambling trips to the casinos which she organized. She loved the busy work that was needed-the phone calls, the bus and food stops. She loved the gambling, winning or losing, and we can't forget her two other games she liked to play, Nancy worked with Left, Right and Center and Dime Jingles. She met and became friends with a lot of people while being a in her glory.
We want to thank everyone that was involved in her life. We don't think it mattered where she went, just that she was with people and having fun!!
Brookridge thanks Nancy and her family for all that she did for our community, for her warm friendly smiles and her willingness to be involved and helping where ever she could.

Special Note: Believe in Jesus Christ NOW! (2Cor. 6:2). Once the dispensation of God's grace is finished the opportunity of living eternally with God will be gone forever.
Words to know: Isaiah 42:8-9 13-14 (KJV) “I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.” … “The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies. I have long time holden my peace; I have been still and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.”

Prayer Meeting
Each Thursday evening at 6:00 pm we meet in Room D for a time of prayer. Everyone is welcome to join us in praying for our Country, our State, our County, and our Community.
Prayer changes things! Phil. 4:6: "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God."
As we start this New Year, let us gather and let our request be made known.
Come join us for an evening of prayer. For more information, contact Pastor Ben of Phoebe at 352-701-0044.
If there has ever been a time when we need peace in our lives, it is now.
God's Word says that 'Perfect Peace cast out ALL fear. The only perfect love is God's love.
Come join us every Sunday morning at 10:00 am for a time of praise, worship, and a study of God's Word.
In Hebrews the 10th chapter, the Bible tells us: not to forsake assembling.
The messages Pastor Benno is bringing every Sunday are anointed messages. He explains each verse and how it applies to us today.
For more information contact Pastors Benno or Phoebe at 352-701-0044.

The ceramic class in Brookridge is open to all residents and neighbors. We have men and woman joining and they are very good for beginners. The beginners are doing some great pieces. Classes are Fridays & Saturdays from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm you can come & go any time within those hours. There is a fee to join, but that includes all paints, brushes, glazes, sealers, coffee, water, snacks.
We now are starting to do painting that has to be fired. Wait until you see the beautiful pieces when they are finished. You can contact me and please leave a message if I don't answer at 352-340-9622.

It's a new year and the Brookridge Singles have lots of new activities planned for 2023.
Sounds like we will be eating good. On January 8th, at our first meeting of the year, we're having a chili and soup pot luck.
On Jan. 22, our second meeting, you'll need to bring some money. Bring $3 worth of dimes and join in the playing of Jingles. Sounds fun.
Our monthly luncheon will be at Red Lobster on January 14th. We'll meet there at 1 o'clock. Be sure to sign up at a meeting or call Bernice and let her know you'll attend.
Don't forget our bowling. We meet at Strike City every Tuesday at 2 o'clock. You don't have to be a good bowler to join in. We put having fun ahead of a high bowling average.
The Singles Club is open to all single residents of Brookridge.
If you have any questions or comments, call Debby Burns at 980-613-0395.

FRIDAYNITE BINGO
by Jackie Bolt
I apologize that I did not put an article in the December News and Views, so I hope that all of you had a wonderful Christmas Season. Hopefully you all got what you wanted from Santa. But mostly, I hope you found peace.
Bingo is going along very well. More people are attending which makes it very nice. There is a change at Bingo now. We are no longer selling food. We will have soda and snacks however you will have to bring your own dinner. We will not be selling sandwiches, salads or pizza anymore.
If anyone would like to take over the kitchen, then these things can continue. However, Ellie Colasanti is no longer working the kitchen. She has officially stepped down.
On behalf of the Bingo Commitee, I would like to wish all of you a very wonderful and Blessed New Year. Stay Healthy.

EXERCISE GROUP EXERCISE GROUP
by Linda Hartman
You have over 600 muscles that move your skeleton. Big muscles produce the most power when they tighten. They're good for things like running or walking. Small muscles are better for tasks like threading a needle. Moving your muscles not only helps you feel stronger but improves your overall health in the long run. For example, exercise can keep your bones sturdy. When we exercise, we tighten our muscles to get our bones to do what we want them to do. This makes our bones denser and can prevent osteoporosis.
Our class is for Brookridge residents and their houseguests (Sorry, no children). The cost is fifty cents per class and the first class is free!
Class starts at 8:30am and runs to 9:30am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Classes start with low impact aerobics followed by stretch and tone; weights; and either mats or chairs. Weights and mats are available if you don't have your own. Come have fun with us!
