October 14, 2017 Hobo Week includes scheduled events such as Bum Olympics, Hansen Hall Bed Races, and the Cavorts Talent Show and culminated with Hobo Day. Hobo Day starts with the Hobo Day parade, where bands, floats and the Bummobile entertain an enthusiastic crowd. The parade is followed by the homecomming football game.

SDSU Tailgating is intended to complement the enjoyment of the Jackrabbit football game by providing fans with a social gathering prior to the game. Tailgating has evolved with the opening of the new Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium and has become part of the lifestyle at SDSU. Tailgating is a great time to socialize with other Jack’s fans, cook out and play lawn games. Alcohol is allowed to the extent permitted by the University Football Tailgate Policy.
