Q 1

What do you remember fondly about your time at Brookhurst?
One of my fondest memories about my time at Brookhurst, was the commitment that our instructors had in delivering content and facilitating our learning. The dedication of my teachers made it easy for me to work on getting my grades up, especially, where I had challenges They would constantly push me to go and achieve more
In my opinion, this made Brookhurst International School stand out in comparison to most international schools where the relationship between the parent, teacher and student may not be as tight knit.
Q 2
Which values did Brookhurst impart on you that have an effect on you today?
By virtue of the environment and resources I found at the school, I left with a great sense of achievement and confidence in my resolution to succeed!
Q 3
Tell us about your university experience after graduating from Brookhurst?
My transition to the university from high school was almost seamless because I felt well equipped for the unique challenges ahead USIU-Africa offers numerous opportunities to its students and so once I found my footing at the institution, everything else seemed to fall into place I would not say that the entire experience was easy but beginning my bachelor’s degree with the end in mind is something that helped me have some semblance of focus
Q 4
What are you currently up to Payne?
I am now an associate Cyber Security Advisor at KPMG East Africa. I was fortunate enough to join the firm during the 2019 graduate recruitment Program. Academically, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree as a part-time student at the University of Nairobi

MyMessageTo TheClassOf2020
1. People at times spend more time to beat the system than learning how to do the job. Manage your ambition and desire so that it is grounded on something concrete.

2. Try not to be quick in taking up too much. Small progress but steady progress is best. You are better off enjoying your small, incremental wins than taking on too much and being overwhelmed.

3. Do not keep seeking validation. Double down and ‘Do your thing’.
4. Your happiness and your own resolution to succeed are more important than any other.
