• When a guest calls in looking to book in for spray tan, please first ask them if they have been into Bronze Baxx before. If not, add them into Sunlync and figure out what day/time they’re looking to schedule in for. Ask the guest if they are aware of the benefits of doing the Hydration Station prior to a spray tan? If not (even if they are a returning guest) please review benefits and ask if they would like to include this with their spray tan!
• Advise them that you’re going to review proper spray tan prep with them!
• Let them know to come in freshly showered, shaved and exfoliated with no product on their skin. This includes deodorant, perfume, lotion or makeup. Let them know we have makeup wipes in studio if they need!
• Let them know to come in wearing dark and loose-fitting clothing, or bring a change of clothes with them!
• Advise them to check the weather and if the forecast calls for rain or snow, to wear appropriate outerwear that covers all skin as water will affect the final result of the spray.
• Let them know that if they need to cancel or reschedule to give us a call, and if they are new to come in 5-10 minutes prior to fill out the new guest waiver.

• Pre heat the room with the heater, please make sure the heater is turned off prior to bringing the guest into the spray room.
• Ensure the new guest waiver is completed and the guest is entered into Sunlync.
• If your Hydration Station is available, explain the benefits and see if they would like to do so before their spray!
• Ask what the guest what they’re doing a spray tan for and make conversation.
• Review color tones + difference between express and 8hr. Which options suits their lifestyle/plans best? Using language such as Subtle, Natural, Bold & Daring.
• Ensure they have no product on their skin, offer a makeup wipe if necessary.
• Ask if they would prefer to use the fan or the stand-up bed to dry off. (We recommend the stand up for best drying results)
• Ask if they need to use the washroom prior to their spray!
• Take the guest back and explain what they can wear during their spray tan, ask the guest to take off jewelry, show them where to put their belongings, advise what to do with lotion on the hands, ask them to stand on top of the flip flops and show them how to wear the hair cap we provide.
• Exit the room and put a Suncapsule tan in line for between 2-4 minutes (depending on skin type/tanning frequency – 3 minutes is a safe drying time), and make sure you record their chosen spray color along with the date and your initials.

• Ensure lotion is applied to the guests’ hands + sides of feet, including their toes.
• Ask if they have any questions prior to starting their spray tan.
• Guide the guest through the spray tan positions, ensuring their entire body is evenly covered. Doing a double check on all 4 sides of the body is a good habit to get into!
• If the guest is larger chested, please provide them with a towel to lift up while you spray tan their mid-section and advise them to maintain this position while you complete their legs. This drying time reduces the chances of any creasing underneath the chest area.
• If the guest is wanting to use a darker tone, or have a second layer done, please dry the guest in-between layers so no oversaturation/drippage occurs.
• Ask the guest if they prefer any part of their body darker than the rest!
• Ask if they would like to include spray tan on their face or not. Typically, we do this lighter than the rest but are happy to match to the body. Aviva is non-comedogenic and safe for acne prone skin!
• Compliment the color and ask the guest how they like it, also if there’s anything else you can do prior to drying them off!
REMEMBER: Always check the front every 4-5 minutes if you are alone!

• Compliment them!
• Wipe off the palms of the hand and nails.
• Explain when to shower (express vs 8hr solution) and that the shower is more of a rinse, and not to use body wash or any other products in this first initial shower.
• Explain the importance of staying away from water, liquid or sweating of any kind in the initial spray tan setting time as this will alter the result of the spray tan.
• Advise the guest to pat dry using a towel when they exit their shower. The fiber of a towel acts as an exfoliant and can impact the longevity of the spray.
• Explain the DHA development time and when they can expect to see color. (express vs 8hr solution)
• Explain the longevity of the spray and the importance of proper after care lotion
• Hemp Nation being the #1 option for tanned skin as this is tanned skin specific lotion. This also allows you to open the conversation around using proper products such as Koffee Scrub, Rose Mist, Versaspa, SPF for vacation, etc.
• Ask them if they have any questions, and remind them to give us a call if anything comes up or if they require a touch up.

Planning a guests experience with us is important, here are some key points:
INFRARED SAUNA
• Always done after Ballancer when possible (to keep the balllancers from getting hot and wet from sweat)
• Done BEFORE a tan, to increase circulation and prevent the sauna from getting lotion in the sauna
• Never done same day as Hydration Station
• Near infrared and Redlight are almost identical they are so close on the spectrum – it is unnecessary to do Redlight and the sauna in the same day, but it is allowable
HYDRATION STATION
• Always before a Spraytan for the most amazing results!
• Always before a UV tan
• Should always be done before tanning and redlight
• Should be done after the Ballancer Pro when possible
• Never done same day as the Sauna
BALLANCER PRO
• As a rule of thumb, this is best to always do first in any multi service experience when possible

What is the lymphatic system?

How long are sessions

What is a “double” session?
A double session is when a guest does both the Pants and the Jacket immediately back to back. The Pants session is 40 minutes, the jacket session is 20 minutes.
Important: The Double Ballancer Setting counts as 2 Sessions!
*We do not do two full 40 minute sessions back to back because your lymphatic system is already moving from the pants and excellent results will be achieved in the 20 on the jacket!
* On a double balancer session, the 40 minute pants session needs the “pre-treatment” however the 20 minute jacket session immediately following does NOT. (Your system is already open and flowing and does not need to be pretreated)

How do I choose a Setting?
Each Ballancer Room has a Ballancer Pro Guide to help you and the guest choose the setting they need that day – No two days are the same, always consult on the day!
IMPORTANT: ALL 40 MINUTE SESSIONS SHOULD ALWAYS SELECT PRETHERAPY + WAVE/BALLANCER/INTENSE TO PRIME THE SYSTEM TO STIMULATE ULTIMATE FLOW, PRIME LYMPH NODES IN THE GROIN AND ARMPITS, AND TO MOLD TO THE GUESTS BODY.

How to Choose a Pressure:
Follow the guide in the treatment room based on the guests goals, and experience in the Ballancer Pro – always check their previous session history and reference that when consulting!
***Going too high in pressure can hinder results that are desired when it comes to losing water weight and toning, lower pressure from 35-45 can bring incredible results as the Lymphatic System moves better gently
How often and wait time between sessions?
Guests are only permitted to do Ballancer Pro Sessions after 48 hours has passed, the lymphatic system takes time to flush and going to soon hinders this process.
About the Undergarments
The undergarments are mandatory for ALL Ballancer Pro Sessions to maintain the integrity of the equipment. No plainclothes, or nude are permitted in the Ballancer Pro. The undergarments are washable after every use and are NOT garbage.
IMPORTANT TIPS
• ALWAYS Record the guests setting and pressure and date for each session!
• Remind the guest to go to the bathroom
• Recommend doing the Ballancer Pro before Sauna or Hydration Station sessions
• Remind guests to use the headphones in the room and to avoid loud noise

The Bronze Baxx Infrared Sauna is the Gold Standard in Saunas.
We use Cedarwood Clearlight Full spectrum Infrared Saunas in all Bronze Baxx locations. We offer 2 sizes, Sanctuary and Retreat. The Retreat is a larger sauna, both Saunas fit 2 people comfortably. They both work the exact same.
What is Full Spectrum Sauna?
Full Spectrum means that our Sauna offers FAR, MEDIUM and NEAR Light.
*Most Saunas only offer Far infrared (saunas people have at home, or gym saunas)

We Do NOT suggest going in Infrared Sessions if guests have not eaten or drank enough water prior to their session. Always offer guests the option to purchase Flow Water and Electrolytes to prevent dehydration, headaches & fatigue.
How often Can you use the sauna?
Guests can use the sauna MAX 1 time per day
*We ask that guests do not use the sauna more than 3 times per week, it is too much detox!
*Guests cannot do the Sauna and Hydration station in the same day – its again too much detox as the Hydration station has Far Infrared.
Who CANNOT do Infrared Sauna Sessions
It is imperative that guests who have trouble sweating, or cardiovascular issues are NOT permitted to use the saunas at Bronze Baxx
Pregnant or Breastfeeding women can also NOT use the Sauna
Anyone with recent injuries should wait at least 48 hours before using the Sauna.
Are you sweating just water?
NO! When you are sweating in the sauna you are sweating all of your important minerals as well! It is imperative to rehydrate with Sodium, Potassium and Magnesium to replenish these electrolytes or headaches and pain can follow. We carry Electrolytes at all locations and you are required to suggest all guests use them every sauna session!

Each Session, our guest chooses 1 of the 4 Liquid Vitamins to add to the session. It is placed into the pod and gradually comes out with the steam on their entire body during the session. Each vitamin has different properties for different guest goals. Scent is a major role in the choice, so please offer them each to smell and educate the reason to use each one!

How long are sessions?
Sessions are 30 minutes in length. There is an option for 20 minute sessions if the guests is short on time, or does not like that long of a session.
Who CANNOT use the Hydration Station:
• Pregnancy or breast-feeding
• Heart or respiratory problems
• High blood pressure
• Open lesions
• Other conditions that may affected by heat temperatures of 22⁰C to 47⁰C or a steam-sauna like environment (i.e. heat sensitivities)

Sessions are ALWAYS 12 minutes in length, and we suggest 3 x per week for the best results. You will see noticeable changes in Skin issues after 3 months, but most see drastic changes much sooner!

The KBL P9 is a SHOWSTOPPER! Incredible color from high UVB – we often say a tan in the P9 is like getting a spraytan! The unit itself is also stunning, the bed was designed by Porsche! Over 2400 LED lights can be customized to create a lightshow that will impress every guest! It is the perfect sunbed to build, maintain and bronze a tan. Guests love to be able to customize their sessions using 3 combinations: Sensitive, Medium and Intensive. This bed has an extra high percentage of UVB for increased pigment development. The Ergoline 1050 is the perfect sunbed to get BRONZE FAST. It has high UVA output to take any basetan 2-4 shades darker in 1 session. It is a powerhouse of a session that is HOT, and with High intensity of UVA. The tan from the 1050 lasts longer, and is known to be the desirable dark bronze color guests are looking for. This is not a high Vitamin D production unit.
*The 1050 has a similar unit, the P90
The unit is best to suggest:
• Once a guest has a basetan, or has done at least 3 sessions in another unit and is building their tan
• Has a tan from a vacation or another sunbed
• Great to suggest as the last tan before an event or vacation
• Every 3rd session as a rotation through the sunbeds I the studio as part of a regular tanning routine

Why we offer it:
The P90 is the perfect sunbed to get BRONZE FAST. It has high UVA output to take any basetan 2-4 shades darker in 1 session. High intensity of UVA on the top of the unit causes a tan from the P90 to last longer, and is known to be the desirable dark bronze color guests are looking for. The bottom of P90 is normal tube bulbs, and is a comfortable unit that does not get as hot as the 1050. This is a medium Vitamin D production unit.

The unit is best to suggest:
• Once a guest has a basetan, or has done at least 3 sessions in another unit and is building their tan
• Has a tan from a vacation or another sunbed

Using a Standup Sunbed is a part of building a beautiful, even tan. All of our locations offer the Suncapsule 220 – a powerhouse UV unit that is our Strongest UV unit in the entire company. An important use for our Standup Sunbooths is for its incredible capability of drying our spraytan guests, we love that it leaves them feeling completely dry and sets the tan!
All guests don’t love the idea of standing up, as they like to laydown and relax – BUT – we should be suggesting a Standup Tan for every 3 or 4th tan, to maintain uniformity and an even tan.
Standup Tanning also helps with areas that are hard to tan, many people have a hard time tanning their legs, Standup is the perfect unit to suggest for this (even better in the Space 2000 with the vibrating plates for extra circulation)
Important to note: the Bronze Baxx Lotion use policy allows guests who do not purchase lotion from us to use the Standup Sunbooths!
The Standups are the only UV Unit permitted to use by guests using their own lotion.
All Standup units are excellent for Vitamin D production year round!

The KBL Space 2000 is a Luxury Standup tanning Experience. The high wattage lamps combined with a Vibrashape platform – this unit creates a dark, even tan. This the only Standup Sunbed we have that has Vibrashape, and the result is amazing circulation and a workout creating ultimate melanin production for a great tan. The sleek exterior, and easy to use buttons make this Standup a wonderful experience. This bed is excellent for Vitamin D production as it has high UVB output.

The strongest UV unit in ALL of Bronze Baxx! This Standup Sun booth has the highest wattage of lamps, and 52 of them that fully encircle for the most even, enjoyable tanning experience. This unit does not have any bells and whistles, it is the most basic, however the high speed 28 MPH fan is amazing for drying our spray tans, and for anyone who does not want to sweat during a tan! This bed is excellent for Vitamin D production as it has high UVB output.

The IDOME is a Luxury Standup tanning Experience. This unit is only available at the Sirocco Location and has rotating face tanners that can be turned off during the session. Perfect for an all-over even tan, the music capability, fans, and color of the tan makes this a very loved unit! Used to dry our spraytan guests as well. This bed is excellent for Vitamin D production as it has high UVB output.
