What We Do
We offer a secure, neutral space at our two contact centers for families to enjoy time together, featuring a secure entrance for the safety of visitors and staff.
Set-Up meeting
Staff
Our experienced contact supervisors observe and record your family time, sharing insights with your child’s Social Worker regarding session quality and interactions. They also provide support and guidance to enhance your family time if needed.
You will meet with your social worker and a team member to discuss family time, receiving a written agreement of this discussion. The agreement is regularly reviewed based on the quality of contact for you and your child.
What to Expect When
Attending Contact
Arrive 15 minutes before contact starts. Children will be collected and returned to carers by the Supervisor.
Remain in the room for 5-10 minutes after each session to allow the carer to leave the site.
Key Information
Lateness Policy
You MUST inform the centre if you are going to be late. We’ll wait:
20 minutes if you contact the office 15 minutes if you don’t. Any later and contact will be cancelled.
Permissions
Please check your individual agreement form for details on permitted activities during family time with each child, as arrangements may differ for multiple children.
Missed contacts
If you miss a session, it won't be rescheduled, and all absences will be reported to your child's social worker Missing three consecutive sessions will result in a suspension of your contact agreement, requiring a review meeting with your child's social worker and contact centre staff
Please be advised: We do not provide compensation for missed contacts during Bank Holidays, unless you only have one family time session each week.
Please Note
The building prohibits smoking, alcohol, drugs, and animals. Contact may be cancelled if you appear under the influence of substances. A zero-tolerance policy is in place for verbal or physical abuse, threatening behaviour, or property damage. We will terminate contact and involve the Police if necessary.
