Backer rods are primarily used in expansion and contraction joints and are used to limit the depth of the sealant, help the sealant assume an optimum hourglass shape factor to prolong sealant life, and serve as a bond breaker to prevent bottom-side adhesion of the sealant.

In addition, Construction Foam Products offer several specialty backer rods for use in fillet joints and shallow joint reservoirs. Construction Foam Products backer rods are commonly used in joints for curtain wall partitions, bridge and highway construction, parking decks, pre-cast assemblies, glazing applications, and panel systems.

Construction Foam Products offers a variety of products including a full backer rod line, control joint and expansion joint as well as gasketing for use in modular home construction. All Construction Foam Products are sold through Brock White Company.

Wall Joints Above-Grade Seismic Colorseal Seismic Colorseal is a silicone-coated, precompressed, primary seal in structural, high-movement joints in virtually any substrate. Seismic Colorseal is ideally suited for ensuring watertight-ness in vertical plane structural, seismic, and abutment joints in walls of precast concrete, brick, curtain-wall, stone, etc.

Total 100% movement capability: +50% and -50% of nominal supplied size.

Colorseal Colorseal is a primary seal in most any substrate. Colorseal is ideally suited to curtainwall and metal cladding systems, as well as concrete, brick, stone, precast, etc. Colorseal features non-invasive anchoring which means you are not drilling and screwing into sensitive substrates. This eliminates the risk of spalls and enables installation into inside corners that are impossible to seal with screw-anchored strip-seals.

PROTECTIVE TREATMENTS Sure Klean® Weather Seal Siloxane PD (pre-diluted) Siloxane PD is a ready-to- use, water-based water repellent. Designed for concrete and masonry, Siloxane PD penetrates more deeply than conventional water or solvent-based water repellents.

Low odor and alkaline stable, Siloxane PD is ideal for field or in-plant application to colorsensitive concrete, GFRC, most masonry and stucco surfaces. Application equipment, window glass and areas affected from overspray are easily cleaned with soap and water.

Sure Klean® Weather Seal Blok-Guard® & Graffiti Control

Siloxane WB Concentrate is a liquid water repellent concentrate designed for dilution with fresh water at the jobsite. This solventfree concentrate mixes easily with water to make a long-lasting penetrating water repellent ideal for dense or porous masonry surfaces. Will not darken, produce a surface film or trap moisture. Siloxane WB complies with all known regulations limiting Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) content.

Blok-Guard® and Graffiti Control is a clear, solvent-based weather- and graffiti-proofer for concrete block and other porous masonry. It protects masonry surfaces from weather and repeated graffiti attacks without altering the natural appearance.

Consolideck® SLX100®

Saltguard® protects horizontal and vertical surfaces from moisture intrusion and chemical attack of chloride salts, reducing rebar corrosion and surface spalling. Perfect for sidewalks, tile and brick pavers. It also provides excellent protection for retaining walls, bridge pilings and other vertical areas. In coastal areas, Saltguard® protects against salt air by reducing chloride penetration.

SLX100® combines water and oil repellency on most substrates to prevent staining by waterborne and oily substances. Its small molecular structure means deep penetration at coverage rates higher than conventional silanes.

This makes SLX100® ideal for protecting concrete. Forms an effective chloride screen that reduces surface erosion and corrosion of rebar in reinforced concrete caused by water and water-carried salts.
