With great admiration and affection to all who make Hudson Valley Dance Festival a joyful reality here on the banks of the Hudson. I am thrilled now to be part of the local Hudson Valley community that makes both the artistic brilliance and support for local social service organizations possible. With a special salute to Denise Roberts Hurlin, Danny Whitman and the impeccable Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and Dancers Responding to AIDS staff and volunteers. Note to Nathan Hurlin: I can still remember our late night conversation in the car where you tentatively said, “what if we did a dance festival in Catskill?” 13 years later, I’m so glad we have. Love,

A favorite photo taken by Víctor Rodríguez.

DRA ANGELS CIRCLE AND VISIONARY CIRCLE The following are members of the Dancers Responding to AIDS Visionary Circle and Angels Circle as of September 15, 2026. Names in bold indicate Premier Visionaries and Archangels, donors who increased their gift by 25 percent or more over the previous year. Contributions are not related to event ticket or merchandise purchases. Visionaries and Angels provide essential support for those affected by HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening illnesses across the country. We salute these donors for their compassion and commitment to helping others in need. In appreciation of this generous support, Visionaries and Angels receive exclusive invitations to virtual and in-person events and VIP status at some of Broadway Cares’ most high-profile events, as well as a host of other benefits. There are many ways to become a member of the Visionary Circle or Angels Circle, including charging on a monthly or quarterly basis. If your employer matches charitable contributions, a gift of $500 or more can qualify you for membership. For more information about the benefits of the Dancers Responding to AIDS Visionary Circle or Angels Circle, please contact Nick Mayo, Philanthropy & Community Engagement Officer, at mayo@broadwaycares.org or 212.840.0770, ext. 262.
