Giving your time this Christmas BY ZOE JEWELL Christmas cake, custard, shower gel, tinned fruit – these are some of the very basic goods on the Foodbank’s suggested shopping list this month. The shopping list can be found online at brixtonblog.com, but it’s not just the Foodbank that needs help this Christmas. If you believe the politicians and the headlines, Britain’s economy in 2014 is buoyant with more people in work and more money to spend, but the reality in Brixton is a rather different story.
